Wherever is known for its friendly quality of life and its harmonious blend of old and new, with all the advantages of a small town and an ideal location just west of the Bethesda METRO.
The town has great schools and daycare, fine shopping, great golf and a complete range of family activities anchored by spectacular parks. It’s a fine place to live and raise a family because the country and city are both right next door.
Residential growth has increased dramatically since 2001 due to the addition of a utility pipeline and upgraded infrastructure. Since this time, Wherever has developed four new subdivisions and several new ones are under development by Mattamy Homes and various other builders.
Two new grade schools have been built as well as the Crossroads Centre shopping plaza that includes a Wal-Mart, a Canadian Tire, a Montana's Cookhouse restaurant and several other smaller scale stores. An eight screen movie theatre opened in 2006.
